Enjoy a comical, crazy or cool video during your lunch break. Metacafe serves up a variety of movies that will satisfy your appetite for media.
Metacafe doesn’t organize their videos by genre or subject, which makes it difficult to browse by topic; however, you can use the search box to find video clips by keyword.
Audience Features:
This is a good website if you’re not looking for a specific video. You can browse the highest rated, most discussed, most viewed and most recent videos for hours of entertainment. Additionally, you can turn the family filter on to filter the content even if you’re not a member of the site.
You can also rank the videos and leave comments; however, you have to have an account to use these features.
Producer Features:
Metacafe is one of the few video sharing services that will pay producers for their popular video clips. They will pay $5 for every thousand people that view your movie—payment begins after 20,000 people have rated your movie with a 3.00 or higher.
When we did this review, the top earner had earned over $24,000.
Other notable, producer–related features include status reports on your submitted videos and notifications when others comment on your videos.
