Grouper is equipped with a large viewing window that contains thumbnail images of 42 videos that randomly alternate creating a kaleidoscope of entertainment. Whether you’re a producer, an online video buff or both, you’ll feel welcome at Grouper, the “TopTenReviews Bronze Award” video share site.
The unique kaleidoscope feature, which they call the Video Wall, allows quick browsing; however, some of the images displayed may have questionable content for some users.

Audience Features:
After finding a video by keyword or browsing the categories, you can leave a video comment. This is one of our favorites and a feature unique to Grouper. Instead of just writing your comments about a video, you can use a webcam to leave a video comment. This is easily done with the click of a button.
As the name indicates, Grouper uses groups similar to a social networking site. This is a good way to find people all over the world who share similar interests.
Producer Features:
Grouper provides some complimentary benefits to the producers of videos—whether you’re professional or amateur. You can download Groovie editor at no charge so you can create and edit your own videos. You can also download Grouper 2.0 Free. Grouper 2.0 makes it easy to create, share and post your videos.
You can instantly post your videos or other clips from Grouper to your personal site. You can add a single video or a Filmstrip that frequently updates itself with new media.
Content:
Grouper has many categories of videos—autos, family, movie trailers and comedy, to name a few.
This site has a content policy stating, “posting porn or copyrighted material is strictly prohibited.” We found that most of the content on grouper is tasteful; however, it doesn’t have as much professional or educational content as Google Video or YouTube. This site is based around entertainment.
Ease of Use:
The Video Wall makes previewing a large number of videos at one time easy. The images are constantly changing so you can sit back and browse without clicking through categories. Nevertheless, you can choose Featured, Newest, Most Discussed, Most Viewed and Highest Rated and the Video Wall will display your selected category of videos.
The upload page is straightforward; simply browse for the video you wish to upload using the browse box, and upload the video.
Help/Support:
Grouper has a FAQs page for common questions and if you have more in–depth questions, you can check out the user forum. Here you will find answers to almost any question you have and if it’s not currently on the forum, you can post it. You can also contact customer support by email.
Summary:
Grouper is a well–rounded website that has features to satisfy both the user and the producer. Grouper is all about entertainment, so when you visit this site, make sure you have a couple of hours to burn.
