Whether you’re looking for a music video, a clip from your favorite TV show, a breaking newscast or just a good laugh, you’ll find it on Google Video, the “TopTenREVIEWS Gold Award” video sharing site.
Google is a renowned search engine and we are equally impressed with its ability to locate video clips. From “Leave it to Beaver” actor interviews to Chicago Bears football highlights, Google has more searchable categories than any other website.

Audience Features:
Google integrates all of the practical features you need to find, rate, comment on and enjoy your favorite video clips. You can search by category, use the search box or perform an advanced search to narrow your results by length, date, relevance, rating or title. Or simply browse the Top 100 videos and see if they are moving up or going down on the list.
Google has one of the largest viewing windows—it takes up approximately one–third of the monitor; nevertheless, there is still plenty of room for comments, ratings, playlists, thumbnail previews and a continuous playback button.
Producer Features:
The Google Video account works in conjunction with the normal Google account that features Gmail, a custom homepage and more. You can enjoy all of the benefits Google has to offer in addition to uploading movies.
The video upload interface is simple, yet provides everything you need to post your videos for public or private viewing. You can add your own title and description. Google doesn’t list an upload limit; however, if your video is over 100MB, you have to use the Google Upload Program. This is a free download.
Content:
Google has more content categories than any other video share program. They include Business, Animation, Documentary, Educational, News, Music, Comedy and so on. You can also search the Top 100 by country. Though the lists are similar, you can see some definite trends in different countries’ video preferences.
Google Video not only has a large quantity of content, but the quality is also top–notch. This video share site has a strict content policy that bans copyright and obscene material. We found the content to be tasteful with more informational videos than other video share sites.
Ease of Use:
Google Video is easy to navigate with a user–friendly interface. You don’t have to sign up for an account to search and view videos; however, you do have to create an account if you want to upload videos.
Help/Support:
Though Google is a mega company, they still provide decent support to their clients—something that is often lost with huge businesses. There is a comprehensive knowledge base and FAQs and you can contact customer support by email.
Summary:
When you’re looking for a particular video clip, Google Video should be the first place you check out. It has a clean interface that has become a trademark of Google and you don’t have to sift through rubbish to find what you’re looking for.
